The rates below are indicative starting prices in euros. Your final quote depends on the resort, season (peak weeks in February cost more than early December) and group size. We confirm the exact amount before you pay anything, so there are no surprises.
All prices exclude lift passes and personal equipment hire unless stated otherwise. VAT is included where applicable; Alpine Edge is an Irish-registered business.
Several factors can move the cost up or down from the starting prices shown above. The most significant is timing: high-season weeks (school holidays, Christmas, mid-February) carry a surcharge of roughly 15–20 percent because resort costs and accommodation prices rise across the board during those periods.
Resort choice matters too. A day in Chamonix costs more in guide fees and logistics than a day in Mayrhofen. When you get in touch, tell us your preferred destination and dates and we'll build a quote that reflects the real costs for that specific trip.
Group size pushes the per-person price down. If you bring six friends for a backcountry tour instead of two, the guide fee is split more ways and each person pays less. We cap group sizes for safety, but within those limits, bigger groups save money.
Equipment hire is not included in our prices. Most resorts offer rental packages from about €25 to €45 per day depending on the quality of the gear. We can recommend shops that give our clients a small discount.
Yes. We require all participants to hold travel insurance that covers winter sports. Most standard policies exclude skiing unless you add a winter-sports extension, which typically costs between €15 and €40 for a week. Check your policy before you travel.
Cancellations more than 14 days out receive a full refund. Between 7 and 14 days you get 50 percent back. Inside 7 days, the fee is non-refundable unless we cancel the session due to unsafe weather. Rescheduling is free if you give us at least 48 hours notice.
No. Lift passes are purchased separately from the resort. However, we have partnerships with several resorts in Austria, France and Switzerland that give our clients 10–15 percent off the standard pass price. We'll send you the discount code when you book.
If our guide judges conditions to be unsafe (high avalanche risk, storm-force winds, visibility below 20 metres), we will reschedule at no extra cost. If a reschedule isn't possible within your trip, we refund the session in full.
We send an invoice by email after confirming your booking. Payment is by bank transfer or card. A 30 percent deposit secures your dates; the balance is due 7 days before the first session.
